The Medieval Legends and Flavors

Journey into medieval Catalonia’s heartland on this full-day cultural and culinary experience from Barcelona. Begin with a scenic drive and traditional churros-and-chocolate breakfast before exploring the walled town of Montblanc, where Gothic and Romanesque streets echo with St. Jordi legends and centuries of history. Enjoy a gourmet lunch featuring local wines and vermut, then visit the UNESCO-listed Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Poblet, a masterpiece of Cistercian architecture and one of Catalonia’s most significant medieval monuments, before returning to Barcelona in the early evening.

(For wine-focused groups, we can customize the itinerary to include a private tasting at a family-run winery in place of either Montblanc or the monastery visit.)
